There are many reasons to visit Hermanus: this seaside village boasts excellent whale viewing, beautiful beaches, great shopping (in the Overberg), excellent wine and gourmet food. There’s also a thriving artistic hub of galleries, painters, sculptures, jewellers, ceramists, writers and photographers.
Eleven days of workshops, concerts, exhibitions, performances and other inspiring events makes Hermanus Fynarts part festival and part ‘winter school’. Vastly popular, Hermanus Fynarts is in its third year and has a ‘Pop-up Festival Kitchen’ offering two daily demonstrations and a gala dinner at Bona Dea in the majestic Hemel en Aarde Valley. Look out for a little foreign influence through the Italian Connection, giving tribute to the diverse heritage of those who immigrated to our country and helped shape its history, art and culture. Running from Friday June 5th to Tuesday June 15th, this stimulating festival offers something for everyone.
We’re proud to announce that Bruce Jack will be taking part this year: he’s presenting a 45 minute talk on the intrigue, technical adventures and magic of blending white wines.
