The World’s Most Admired Wine Brand is organized by Drinks International, a UK-based magazine for the global drinks industry. It aims to identify and recognise the world’s most admired wine brands based on the votes of a panel of industry judges comprising of leading wine experts, educators, and buyers.
The judging panel evaluates wine brands based on criteria such as quality, consistency, innovation, and relevance to their respective regions or wine styles. The panel also considers factors such as brand reputation, marketing and packaging, and overall consumer appeal.
We are thrilled to have been included in this list for 4th consecutive year – to date we are the only South African wine brand who has achieved this accolade.
When asked why people in the global wine industry admired Bruce Jack Wines, Bruce has this to say:
“It’s built on 30 years of hard slog in the industry, so they know it’s not a fly-by-night project. Also, many people know, or can sense, that we are wine to the core – this industry is our bread and butter, we didn’t make money in another industry and decided to “play” in the wine space. Wine is our everything – it is and has always been who we are. Our reputation had been hard earned by making (often ground-breaking) wines of integrity that have real character. They are lovingly crafted to offer complexity, interest and balance . Most important perhaps it is obvious that we are not greedy, and we don’t put profit at the top of our list. We see profit as a necessary reality, not a core fundamental to our business. I guess we are in a very small way like Patagonia in this way. Similarly, our environmental and social-upliftment focus is entrenched – it’s not a fad, it’s a way of life. It allows us to have fun, to look forward to our day with this special team, and we think that it is infections.”
