Drinks International has unveiled its highly anticipated list of The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands 2025, showcasing the most respected and influential names in the global wine industry. Voted for by an international panel of industry experts, including sommeliers, wine buyers, and journalists, the annual ranking celebrates wineries that consistently demonstrate excellence in quality, innovation, and brand strength.
The judging panel evaluates wine brands based on criteria such as quality, consistency, innovation, and relevance to their respective regions or wine styles. The panel also considers factors such as brand reputation, marketing and packaging, and overall consumer appeal.
We are thrilled to have been included in this list for the 5th time – to date we are the only South African wine brand that was listed for 4 consecutive years. Although we dropped off the list in 2024, we are pleased to have made it on again this year.
When asked why people in the global wine industry admired Bruce Jack Wines, Bruce has this to say:
“We remain one of the few winemaker-driven brands that sell on such a wide global scale and continue to make wine on four continents – which is unique. Ultimately, we care deeply about the quality we put out there into the world. We desperately want people to be amazed by the value for money our wines deliver. We are essentially wine nerds taking on the big boys.
We only sell at a price we’d be thrilled to pay ourselves, a philosophy few others follow. How many supermarket wines have real character and are crafted with longevity in mind? Not many.
For us, authenticity and integrity are everything. Sustainability—both environmental and social—is not just a consideration; it’s at the heart of everything we do. It defines our purpose. At Bruce Jack Wines, every team member believes in this higher mission. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t stick around very long because we pay notoriously low wages. In this sense, we are part business, part social activist.”
